All system providers in the Norwegian energy industry must conform to all changes that are planned through NBS, Elhub and AMS implementations. It is important that all system providers prepare to meet all the new challenges for the energy industry. eRate is following the developments closely and we actively engaged in the dialogue for both Elhub project and Norwegian Ediel Expert Group (NEE).
eRate attend monthly meetings of NEE
NEE discuss central issues of electronic data interchange for the Norwegian energy market. The Expert Group assesses whether there is a need for change in messaging, standards or procedures. The agenda addresses the daily challenges faced by the energy industry.
eRate in dialogue with Elhub
The Elhub project invited system providers to transmission system operators (TSO) and power suppliers, to a meeting in late 2014. eRate was one of few system providers that participated in the dialogue with Statnett. The discussion at the meeting focused on the development and testing of systems currently deployed in the energy industry.
System providers responsible for updated systems
“[Direct translation of quote]The responsibility for having updated systems that can communicate with Elhub lies with the system providers, so we see that it is important to have a good dialogue with them, so they know what is expected of their systems and the overall schedules they must deal with. Therefore, we have invited them to the meeting,” says project leader for testing and migration in Elhub, Eigil Gjelsvik.
